Stop e-mail Viruses - Stop Getting Spammed!

Why should you or your employees have to waste valuable paid time wading through unsolicited e-mails that may contain harmful viruses & rude or even obscene content. The same Postini Sate-of-the-Art e-mail filtering service that LocalTel & NWInternet uses for thousands of internet customers is now available to customers who have their own domain and mail-server. These filters are 98% effective in discovering & stopping hidden viruses and annoying spam.

Each individual e-mail user has total control of their filter. Each individual can choose to how aggressive the filter is in four different categories.
The categories are:
     1. Sexually Explicit
     2. Get Rich Quick
     3. Special Offers
     4. Racially Insensitive

The filter looks through your e-mails for key words that would categorize your e-mail as falling into one of these categories. It also looks for patterns of e-mails, how many are being sent at one time, and known spammers.

The filter also has the ability to block any specific e-mails from senders who may be harassing you or allow e-mail from individuals, organizations or companies of which you would like to receive their spams from. You can also turn the filter on or off completely if so desired.

For Spam: The spam filter looks for patterns that may indicate the e-mail is spam. If the e-mail meets the "SPAM" criteria the filter will capture and hold it in the filter server. Each time a e-mail is captured in the filter a e-mail will be sent to you saying that spam was captured. You can then click on the link included in the e-mail, look at it in the filter on our server, and then choose to download it to your mail-server, or delete it completely. If you ignore your filtered e-mail they will go away after 7days. If you choose to send it on to your mail-server, the filter will give you the option to enable e-mails from this source to be delivered unfiltered in the future.

For Viruses: Every e-mail is scanned for potential viruses, if a potential virus is suspected it will capture and quarantine that e-mail in the filter on our server. Then the filter will notify you by e-mail that there is a suspect e-mail in the filter. You can click on the included link and view the e-mails that have been quarantined in the virus filter without downloading it to your system. You then have the choice to download them or not, thus protecting your system from possible infection. If you ignore quarantined e-mail, they will go away after 7 days.

False Positives: Occasionally (less the 1%) an e-mail is captured by the filters that does not meet the spam or virus criteria. That is why they are not automatically deleted without notifying you. If your filter mistakenly captures one of those e-mails all you have to do is have them delivered on to you.
